Welcome to another Freds Pass Rural Show. The popular rural show is a celebration of community spirit and rural pride and allows people to show case their cooking skills, beautiful plants, puffed up poultry and enjoy a delicious assortment of locally grown, made or produced products at the cooking demonstrations by local cooks and restaurant chefs.
From humble beginnings, the show has grown into an eagerly awaited event. From horses, to cattle and chooks, cooking to dress making, there is plenty to see and do over the two days of activities.
There are displays of rural products such as mowers, pumps and sheds, cattle yards plus many stalls offering delicious foods and refreshments. NT Government departments participate and provide valuable information on matters such as biosecurity and animal management.
Over the last twelve months, a dedicated committee of volunteers has worked night and day to ensure that the very best is provided in entertainment, competitions, fun and programmes for both adult and children alike. I express a big thank you to the committee and to the many volunteers who have assisted in making the show the success that it is today.
Freds Pass Rural Show is the number one show in the Territory and here to stay, so enjoy the show activities, admire the craft work and cooking demonstrations, and take home some delicious products and memories.
Best wishes
