A Message from Patron of the Freds Pass Rural Show – Kezia Purick

Welcome to this year’s Freds Pass Rural Show

I am pleased to invite you join us in celebrating the best Territory show ever, and I would also like to acknowledge and thank the many people who make this wonderful family fun weekend possible.

This weekend event is more that a show case of rural produce, gardening, machinery,  equipment and the many animals on display – it is a gathering of farmers, producers, families, students showing their animal handling skills and a broad cross section of community.  It is a place where country meets city and many a good story is swapped while enjoying the delights of fresh scones, cream and jam or a freshly cooked kebab.

Whether you come to the show to enjoy local produce at the popular Paddock to Plate or delight at the pretty floral exhibits or simply have a lovely time with family and friends, I hope you find inspiration and appreciation for all things rural and what its contribution is to the great place we call the Territory and call our home.

My sincere appreciation again to Shirley Preston and her Show Committee for the countless hours of work and dedication and to the army of volunteers both old and young who come together for one fabulous weekend in May.
