Special Regulations

  • Livestock Movement Biosecurity Requirements as outlined in the Livestock Conditions of Entry apply.
  • All nominated cattle to attend Freds Pass Rural Show must be identified with a RFID before delivery to the showgrounds.
  • Food and water to be provided by the exhibitor, bedding straw and pens to be the responsibility of Freds Pass Rural Show.
  • Stud stock will be judged in an open ring starting 11 am Friday 24 May. Led stock over 12 months old must have a nose ring or clip for safety requirements.
  • Other exhibits will be judged in their pens following the stud cattle judging.
  • The Cattle Handlers Competition will be judged on Friday 24 May immediately following the cattle judging.
  • The Cattle Judging Competition will be judged at 8.30 am Saturday 25 May and will include aspects of care and preparation of the stock.

 

Delivery & Collection

  • Deliver to Livestock Pavilion: Friday 24 May 8.30 am to 10.30 am
  • Exhibits are not to be removed before 4 pm Sunday 26 May

Prize Money:        First $10; Second $6; Third $4 (unless otherwise stated)

The Champion Cattle Handler and the Champion Cattle Judge will go on to compete in the NT Championships at the Royal Darwin Show.  The two NT Champions will be supported to compete in the National Championships at the Melbourne Royal Show.

Cattle Handlers Competition

Entry is free and may be taken by the Livestock Steward any time prior to 9 am on Saturday 25 May.  Winners in each class are eligible for Champion Cattle Handler selection.  $20 1st prize in each class.

Cattle Judging Competition
