Rewarding youth… this is the award for young people involved in rural life.

The Young Rural Achiever Awards recognise the talents and achievements of young people in rural industries and communities.  Through this award young people are encouraged to develop their skills in a range of areas relating to rural life.

This competition is allied to the Agricultural Shows Australia’s (ASA) Young Rural Achiever national competition, which provides young people with an opportunity to promote rural Australia and to play a greater role in promoting agriculture and rural living. In this way, ASA aims to encourage the next generation of rural young leaders who have a strong commitment to the rural sector and an involvement and genuine interest for the Agricultural Show movement. The National Rural Ambassador Award receives finalists from member states/territories across Australia and aims to foster the development of 20- to 30-year-old people through the agricultural show movement.

The Freds Pass Rural Show Young Rural Achiever Awards are presented as part of the Opening Ceremony of the show on Saturday at 2 pm.
